Pine Tree In Witchcraft & Folk Medicine. The sacred evergreen pine (Pinus) represents inner strength, rebirth, and immortality. In the old days, the pine was considered holy and it was forbidden to cut it down.

Some Tips For Using Pine:

🌿 Magical Aspects: Protection, healing, fertility, prosperity, cleansing/exorcism.

🌿 Pine is a powerful physical and spiritual cleanser. Burn pine sticks, cones, chips, bark, needles, or sap to purify and cleanse the home and ritual space.

🌿 Burning pine needles and cones in your hearth, fireplace (or bonfire) is known to summon protective energy. Burn pine incense to purify home and use it in divination practices.

🌿 To protect your home from negative energies and invite joyful energy inside, hang a wreath of a pine over the front door. You may do this for all of your doors and windows if you like.

🌿 A branch hung over a bed will protect against nightmares, illness, and negative energies. Placing pine and pine cones on your ritual area is believed to give protection and to ward off evil. A pine branch can be used to brush away negative energy from your home or surfaces (altars) and objects.

🌿 Here in the North, in ancient times pines were used for worship and sacrifice. Throughout history, pinecones have also served as a symbolic representation of Human Enlightenment, and the Third Eye.

🌿 Pine needles are great for tea, because pine needles are loaded with vitamins (especially vitamin C), and the needles have strong antimutagenic and antioxidant properties. Pine needle decoct (tea) can be drunk to treat colds.

Sacred Pine Needle Tea


½ cup of young pine needles (a small handful)

3 cups (7,2dl) of spring water (or clean tap water)

1 slice of lemon, or a teaspoon of honey (optional)

Pine Tea is loaded with Vitamins, and Antioxidant Properties

🌿 In ancient times, visiting an old, isolated pine tree was considered a means of curing pains and cramps. Pine nuts are known for their health benefits. boosting energy, anti-aging, reducing the risk of heart disease, and improving vision.

🌿 Pine essential oil can relieve pain, alleviate headaches, boost energy and mood, treat acne, and other skin conditions.
